PALILULA MUNICIPALITY TEAM IN HUMANITARIAN ACTION IN OBRENOVAC Rescue teams of volunteers, organized by Palilula Municipality , spent a night of the last weekend in Obrenovac -May 17 in humanitarian mission of rescuing the people from this Belgrade municipal territory. With Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality as rescue team leader, this caravan of twenty volunteers headed towards Obrenovac on Friday May 16 2014. Palilula team succeeded to come there at around 2 am among those few who managed the same from the other parts of Serbia. the central position was bridge to entrance to Obrenovac. Experienced and skillful members of `Gusar` Diving Club, scouts of `School ship Jadran` (Skolski brod Jadran), volunteers from the Youth Office and members of authorities and Palilula Municipality Administration with president Dzunic immediately started the rescuing the citizens of Obrenovac in flooded part of that municipality. With the assistance of the members from police, gendarmerie, ambulance and local citizens, the parts of the city were located and also the objects in very hard conditions and was organized the saving of jeopardized families. During the night, the organized groups of professional associations with navigable objects and additional equipment came. Many thousands of citizens in continuity were evacuated from the flooded areas. Heartbreaking scenes provoked by elementary disaster in Obrenovac left the strong impression to Palilula team: Boban Dzunic, Milos Stojiljkovic, Andrijana Atanasov, Ivica Stojanovic, Stevan Nikolic, Ivana Jovic (authorities of Palilula Municipality), Dejan Pavlovic, Zoran Randjelovic, Goran Despotovic, Ljubisa Jondzic (divers of Gusar club), Dragan Vidojkovic (EKOpolis), Ratomir Petkovic, Vujica Dinic, Zeljko Divaja, Mihajlo Milosevic (scouts), Milos Milanovic, Nemanja, Vlada Barac, Jovica Djordjevic, Zoran Misic (volunteers, Municipal administration). After ten hours without stopping activities Palilula team left the place to new rescue teams. Fight for Obrenovac and saving people last even today With fear we are expecting new wave.
